Spring Liver Cleanse

Now that winter is all but over, it's time to help your liver with some cleansing. Wild leeks and young dandelion greens are superb foods for the liver, as are beets, lemon, cabbage, kale, broccoli, onions, garlic, ginger, turmeric and olive oil. The following recipe can be used as a 3-10 day liver flush, taken every morning. Eat plentiful fruits and vegetables for the remainder of the day, and minimize meat, dairy and fatty foods. A liver flush stimulates the liver to eliminate toxins and cholesterol, increases bile flow, and moves liver blood.

May Cleanse

Started a cleanse this morning. Here it is: 3x daily 1 tbsp NOW fermented organic soy protein powder mixed with 1 tbsp greens and 1 tbsp freshly ground flaxseed, small amount of orange juice and 1 cup H2O; 1 quart of vegetable juice drunk through the day made from 5 lb carrots, 3 apples, 1 big handful parsley, 1 lemon, 1 tbsp ginger root; 4 cups salad divided between lunch and dinner and 4 pieces fruit eaten between everything else (2 bananas, 2 pears); 3 liters of water/day. Will keep up for as many days as I feel good. The juice this morning was super super delicious.
